CTC Cable Corporation offers engineering support to assist with conductor selection, line optimization, and economic and environmental analysis. CTC Cable’s engineering staff can address electrical and mechanical questions, perform conductor comparisons, assist with PLS CADD™, Sag10™, T-Line Pro, SeilPro* or other software design programs, and address other questions that relate to the conductor, ancillary hardware, or project economics.
ACCC® conductor polynomials, derived from stress / strain and creep testing are available to predict how the conductor will sag as conditions change. Stress / strain testing also provides information on how the conductor’s core and aluminum strands will share tensile loads over time. ACCC® conductor polynomials may be downloaded directly from PLS CADD’s website at: www.powline.com. PLS CADD’s “wir” files can be loaded directly into their program or manually entered into other programs. For additional assistance, please contact: support@compositetechcorp.com
